26 January 2011

now it's day, and i've been trying to get that taste off my tongue.

I've been off the map lately.
Home was hectic, and everything since has been hectic.
Ahhhh, these days with this -4 degree Fahrenheit weather, I'm wishing for summer more and more.
Mostly I just hang around my apartment with my roommates, eat Chinese food, and watch Harry Potter.
....oh yeah, and sometimes I go to class, too.

well it's been a long time, long time now
since i've seen you smile
and i'll gamble away my fright
and i'll gamble away my time
and in a year, a year or so
this will slip into the sea
but it's been a long time, long time now
since i've seen you smile.

Exams are killing me.  Home in a week.

in osaka i saw you last

So I ventured out into the freezing rain this evening to take these photos.
And kids, it was a struggle. Not only were raindrops repeatedly splattering the camera lens, but the wind was also ruining my life by blowing my hair around unattractively and causing me anxiety about potential nip slips.

But it turned out okay, didn't it?

My outfit from yesterday. It was freezing out and horrifyingly foggy so we just did indoor pics this time. Not as good, but we'll do better next time?

My friend Eva designs these boyfriend shirts. Cute, no? I love themmmm. And of course no outfit is complete without my trusty Jeffrey Campbell Pixies.

In other news, school has annihilated my social life this weekend. I have pretty much moved into the library with my leopard print snuggie and my backpack, and don't plan to leave until next weekend.

My next purchase:
Jeffrey Campbell 99. Is this blue not the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen?
I die.

there were always golden rocks to throw

Once again, I attempt to bring this blog back to life. Hopefully I won't forget about it this time. No promises though, hmkoo?

Today my roommates and I braved the freezing fall weather to take the above pictures... cute see-through white shirt, right? Yeah, I have frostbite now. Meep.

I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna be able to pull off this outdoor-photo-shoot thing. It's barely even November and homegirl is already hobbling off to class in a million layers with her teeth chattering. This photoshoot was painful.

i thought i felt your touch, but the water's rising up ♥

So my sister and I started this blog some months ago, but I became so completely immersed in college decisions and other things that I promptly forgot about it. I'm thinking I'll start it up again slowly but surely (posts are gonna be rather erratic until summer, when I hope to be posting quite regularly). Let's see how this blogging thing goes.

These are some photos from a very low-key modeling job I did as a favor for my friend Eva. She just recently came out with a new line of "Boyfriend Shirts" for her label, Eva Assali. Although the shirts are a tad pricey for a penniless student like myself at $160 a pop, I must admit they're undeniably comfortable and stylish.... luckily since I'm the model I don't have to blow through my entire budget and I can get them for free. =]

In other news, I have been practically drooling over these Jeffrey Campbell wedges on nastygal for like the past week:
I want, I want, I want! And I will have. As soon as I get a job, that is. Which will happen next month. Meow.
